The Powerhouse Museum
The Longreach Powerhouse and Historical Museum house local history, stories and artifacts as well as being the largest preserved rural generating facility in Australia. Displays explain how electricity was generated, maintained and distributed throughout the Shire, and the distribution network maintained.

Starlight’s Lookout
45km north of town is Starlight’s Lookout named after the notorious cattle thief Harry Redford who reportedly rested here on his journey south with stolen cattle. Enjoy a 360-degree view of the area and sunset drinks at the top.
